Female Spartan?

Has anybody created or designed a female MJOLNIR variant, which isn't clearly a realisation of some guy's fetish or fantasy? I'm looking for something that resembles the MkVI, but more suited to the female form, obviously. I'm just wondering if someone (preferably a lady) has taken the time to do this properly, to make a practical and comfortable suit that isn't just to please fan boys. The reason why I'm asking this is because I myself am possibly interested in designing my own, and would like some inspiration.

Thanks in advance,

James

I know females do wear the mark VI armor all the time but i do not think that one has been made specifically for females, although the same file should fit both men and women if it is scaled correctly

That makes sense, but I didn't make it clear that I'm looking for something that's probably fictional. I'm sure anybody who is 7ft tall can fit nicely into a full suit, but I'm looking for something for normal sized people, which would different, if that makes any sense.

I'd try looking for that, if not you can try scaling the suit in separate sections so that it will fit better to a woman. You could also try asking one of the females on the site that have made complete suits how they did it.

Yeah, I saw that, and it looks cool, but it's not what I'm looking for, as I stated in my first post. But thanks for the input anyway. :)

The Mk V looks like it has boob-space. :p

The Mk VI EOD chest also looks fairly similar, so I think those would be a good choice for female armor. Other than those, I can't really think of anything that fits females.

Yeah, I suppose so. I thought, without being too pervy, that it would be the hips, legs and feet which would need to most modification, but to be honest I am by no measure an expert in this area. Thanks Queen, perhaps you can PM me, as you seem to know what's going on.

I haven't built a set yet, but based on my own guesses, the pelvis structure could use an overhaul: I haven't heard any complaints so it must at least be functional, but it's not at all complimenting. The upper arms might need to be modified to be more narrow without skewing the details. Legs and feet should be just fine with proper scaling. Any ladies who have finished a set have anything to say on the chest plate? Since most pieces are made hollow, there should be plenty of space, but my worry was whether I'd have to modify the bottom section so it wouldn't be too loose around my lower ribs.

If you're designing a set 009-SPA, best bet is to actually find yourself a volunteer to fit each piece to after each round of tweaks so you can check the fit, comfort, and aesthetic. :)

Thanks to Queen, I've made some minor modifications to the upper arms:

Stay tuned, as this may become a progress thread.

I'm using Photoshop, which I am doing a disgrace by not actually knowing how to use. So thanks anyway. This is my first idea, and if it looks like a messy scribble to you, you're right, because that's what it is. I'll clean it up as the main ideas start to emerge.

This is pretty cool and something that I am going to be looking into soon. It all starts somewhere so you shouldn't worry about these early stages looking kind of rough. Lol I like the fact that you are trying to make the modifications a bit more subtle.

I asked my girl if she would ever be into rocking spartan armor, she agreed and thought it would probably be fun.

But then I she saw some of those halo Female Spartan Sculptures floating around(the ones with alot of mid drift showing and very little armor overall)she said "If I were to go to war and get shot wearing that I would die." Lol She is looking to be a bit more armored and less "fan boy dreams" as you so nicely put it Lol.

I plan to possibly modify the 3D files of the high-def Mark VI armor and then unwrap it in pepakura kind of like I did for my ODST Permutation. I would want it to be as accurate to the original possible with slight tweaks to make it more feminine.

Anywho good luck with your mods keep us posted. I'll be watching this threads progress.

Thanks Kirrou. I finally figured out where I got the weird idea of flares from:

Personally I think they're cool, because they balance out the proportions of the legs, and they help distinguish from a more manly appearance:

Anyway, I came up with a more clean, but still early version of the legs:

And as you said, I'll try and keep the details a bit more subtle than this.

I just want to throw this out there, have a look in halogoddes's thread she's done amazing work on her armor, she might be able to help you girls out.

It's good to see more females making armor you have my support . ;)

ok well i like ur ideas but there was no difference in a male to female spartan's armor just for the record.
