Those things do suck.

And finish, what type of baterys does it take?

I'm not sure... they look like AA batteries but chopped in half (they are the same thickness.. but the battery is less long)
But this battery and button are designed only for "display" purpose (press here to try)...

So you need to cut the wires and connect a switch... and maybe a proper battery.'
