First Halo Prop Print (Halo 4 & 5 Combat Knife)

This is my first try printing a Prop from Halo, the first blade print broke when I put the grip on then I printed it again and it worked after I sanded the grip down. I am going to be sanding it down more in the next week or so and spraying it with rust oleum 2 in 1 filler and sandable primer then I'm going to paint it when done sanding. Just a suggestion:
Take some time to finish tuning in your machine and settings. Even if you spent a week dialing in to super-tight tolerances you'll save more than that in your first decent project.

Between that line and this photo showing the printed nut heads not looking accurate, I suspect you're either (1) over temp or (2) over extruding or maybe a little of both.

Getting good, accurate and dimensionally accurate prints from day 1 will save so much work later. Personally, I start by printing an M10 nut and bolt and tuning until they fit smoothly. Then try both against a purchased/metal/real M10. Then an M5. If you decide to take on doing really fine/small items like DND mini figures then go down to an M3. When you get where your M5 works with each other and with real world nut and bolt I bet all your printed parts go together with a lot less problems and labor.
