How do you attach these so they are angled like they should be? The left side I used a heat gun to bend but it’s 10mm and not working out very well. All the reference pictures I’ve seen shows the two areas highlighted are attached separately. I’m stumped.
this is also a free hand version. I tried printing a paper file but it wasn’t working it was gigantic. And I am not a giant
Why I chose chief? I really like challenges. And I love the games. I really hope I can make this work. I started the chest first because I figured it would be the most difficult.
I also don’t have enough room on my little laptop to download any scaling software for the paper patterns either. soooo I’m trying my luck at free-handing this.
This is my first armor ever as I’ve only ever played with foam once for a mask last year.

What tips can you give for attaching angled pieces without a massive gap? Can I use a filler? Or are there ways to find an unfolded version that I can look at and try to decipher?
Again- cosplay noob here but every post I see on here is so positive so I’m feeling hopeful that you all can help!
Thank you in advance!

You are going to want to bevel the edge, or cut it at an angle.

That makes a lot of sense, I didn’t even think of that. And thank you so much! I’ll check those out! :)
