hey what's up? my friend is paying me to build him a mirage suit for the denver fan expo in july. i'm in a bit of a time crunch to get it finished in the two months before the con, but that's why we chose the mirage armor in the first place.

the light and simplistic armor is a lot quicker to put together than say, an odst suit. (he does want an odst, but it'll have to wait till next year </3)

i 3d printed the helmet and visor buck, and i've constructed most of the arms, here's some pictures.

the things i have left to do on this suit are

1. the rest of the foam armor
2. sanding and filling the 3d prints
4. strapping and padding
5. finish my vacuum form machine for the visor.

i have quite the workload ahead of me, and im not sure if i'll get it done. but hopefully with you guys cheering me on and enough autistic hyperfixation I'll somehow pull through!

wish me luck :, )

guess who's ahead of schedule?? B )

i've got all the foam armor constructed, and most of it plasti-dipped. i've got a few pictures here and there, but i was in total crunch mode the whole time, so i totally forgot to upload any updates here.

side note, i don't know why all the images get super squished when i try to scale them down for pc users, if anyone could give some pointers with that it would be much appreciated!

gonna cut some holes for straps to go before painting, but im gonna hold off on strapping until they pick me up for the con, cuz the friend this is for doesn't live here so i cant test fit it yet : (

anyways, painting update soon!!
