Any idea what this is? I'm not good with tool names, I usually call it "That thingy". If this is what I think it is, I have yet another key tool in my armor making.

yeah i got the same one just way different case but it works like a charm

EDIT: and it looks like you got extra disks which is a plus

yup, its a rotary cutting tool aka a dremmel. that is one of the first things you buy if you want to get serious about this sort of thing. your very lucky just to have one in your basment

Plug it in. Pneumatic tools are not that big because they don't house an electric motor like the one you have does, hence the size. Looks like a Dremmel from the mid 90's. I have one that looks incredibly similar that I put a flex-hose attachment on for precision work.

But the case looks like it's from the 80's.
