1st Build Fred 104 build for Son's Halloween

About 4 months ago I got a 3d printer and was finally gonna make a full set of armor. My son decided a couple weeks later that he wanted some Mjolnir armor for Halloween, so I figured I could do that. He eventually decided on Fred-104 (Halo 5 version) so off to the races I went... Or so I thought. Little did I know that there wasn't much in the way of Fred 3d files for printing. So it has been a mad dash trying to get this done. All thats left is the paint to dry and to add the straps to hold it up. I have 3 days until Halloween so should finish Thurs or Fri (taking both days off from work to put the final touches on it lol) I had to find some 3d game files online, download and learn Blender and learn the ins and outs of 3d printing as well as learning everything I could about making the armor. To say this was daunting is an understatement. Somehow, someway I've almost finished. It's not the best and a little rough around the edges but for a newbie to building and a rush job I'm fairly satisfied. But I've got a 12 year old who is stoked so I'm happy. Unfortunately with all the rush plus life I haven't documented everything but I do have some pics. Plus when the paint is dry I will take more pics and also some of the finished product. I'm sure somebody knows better ways to do some of these things and there are probably some 3d files for sale online but I'm a single dad of 2 kids with only so much time and money lol. I have learned a lot about all the aspects so when I make my set things will hopefully go better 20250_230940.jpg202501_091035.jpg202502_181418.jpg202511_195142.jpg20250622_141129.jpg20251005_202124.jpg20251028_202437.jpg20251028_203846.jpg20251028_203859.jpg202500823_181617.jpg2025083024_223309.jpg

Dude, with 4 months of 3D Printing Experience and learning as you went too, this is awesome! This is coming from someone in a similar boat who has essentially been attempting prints for about 2 months myself, I strive to get a full set quickly done like this. You're doing great! How many pieces did you print the chest piece in? Love to see all the work you get done within the two days like you said. Keep up with it all!

Thanks I really appreciate it! It's been a test that's for sure lol. I think the chest piece alone was 10 pieces. That's not counting the packs on the back that I omitted due to him not being able to sit comfortably if they were on. I checked the paint this morning and it's nice and dry, so going to give it till this evening and start attaching the straps
