Well unfortunately I lost both contests to the most ridiculous costumes I've ever seen... everything was either store bought or home made for under $20.. and not creative... they just winged stuff together. However I got some pics with some people I thought had really great costumes, sadly they all lost with me as well.

i wish there were costume contests near me. but i went to a nearby town with some cousins, i lost my toe piece then found it in a bush. it was cool over all i guess especially when people recognized who i was. (hey its the halo guy)

Great photos! The churches that got together and had a street Halloween festival had kids contests..... everyone had a blast! Wish I could have seen this one!

Well, sadly only about 20 or 30 people knew me... I got called Robocop, Transformer, Iron Man, etc :cautious: Oddly, there were tons of college guys around... and this is UT campus we're talking about. Top ten party schools in the US and no one plays Halo.. really? Oh well, had a great time.. I got more pics inside the Freakers Ball.. but the girls weren't wearing many clothes and there's alot of minors in here. DJ Slink was throwing down some great beats as usual and the Voodoo Girls were swinging from the rafters and dancing in the cages, very cool setup minus all the drunk girls falling on me :cautious:

Cheers,

Sorry you lost, but it looks like you had a good time!! Our local mall had a thing for kids, so I hung out the mall. I have some friends that work in EB so I helped them give out candy. If the parents had cameras the kids wanted pics with the guy from Halo! Thats one reason I went, the kids got a kick out of it. I walked down the mall and like Kensai111 people thought I was Iron Man, a Stormtrooper, some moron called me Darth Vader!! I thought does these people even watch movies!!?? Either way I had a good time except when someone stepped on my foot and broke one side loose. One of my friends snapped a pic with their cell.

Vader!? Seriously?! Since when is Vader green.... ? and he forgot his cape... lol

Those Monarch Henchmen look pretty awesome!

I'm glad everyone had fun, I just passed out candy as McCain. lol. My friend was Obama. For every piece of candy I gave out, I ate two. ;)

i wish i had a mc costume this year, but alas, i found this site too late ;)
next year!

i showed up at work in my normal uniform, felt retarded because all the waitresses and some of the other cooks had costumes, and so I turned my hat backward.
i told everyone i was a rebellious sarcastic employee. scared the crap out of my managers though

Over the last 3 days I've managed to not win 10 000 dollars in contests.

I've lost to a cardboard lego man suit, a 12 foot clown, all the characters from wizard of Oz, and a traffic pylon.

Deployed- I was a soldier for halloween. I would have gone as the Joker, though. I've been practicing his movements and voice ever since i got the dvd. maybe next year.

wow. do kids really go out dressed like those gang-star people? quick way to get arrested in the USA.

nice iron man though! rock on.

heres some prelim pics form my halloween week.

this guy was cool

Moz, I feel your pain (traffic cone really? Chief KILLS people with traffic cones ^^)... not as much money but 6.5k and walked away with a $240 guitar they sell at every Hard Rock Cafe... I lost to "Naughty Girl" (one of those $30 Legs Avenue costumes), "Dick Cheney" (Dick Cheney mask with flannel and a gun :cautious:), and Edward Scissor Hands .. which I'll give credit to.. he atleast made his costume...

Still every costume was under $30 and completely unoriginal... I blame it all on that "Audience reaction" based voting. I have boobs too audience... :cautious:

Next year I'm not trying unless there are real judges. Sticking with something simple that doesn't take me 30 minutes to strap into. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween... now get back to work! ;)

PS: Thanks for Sharing so far guys! Keep 'Em Coming.. and Ronin... I guess be glad you couldn't make it.. it was a nightmare ^^

Cheers,
Kensai

Yep, thats David Hewlett, me, and a friend of mine.

Earlier in the night (i had the VIP party to go to at night, MC at a cocktail party would not have been very comfortable, considering its a painful costume to wear)

Haha, yeah he's not so comfortable p0rtal. I'd actually be fine if it wasn't for the thigh pieces... what a pain. Just takes so long to get everything situated and semi-comfy. I STILL can't get my visor to not fog... hood & 2 fans and I still fogged up on the first breath and walked blind for the rest of the day :cautious:.

Thanks for sharing, David Hewlett.. same one from "The Cube" ? If so very cool.

Kensai

Heres a pic That was taken of me at our house party last night, I took off the lower torso, cause its hard to dance with it on.

Oh and yes that is the drinking tube of a camelbak coming out of the chest. It was a good way to stay hydrated. (dont worry just water :D ) Someone took video of me dancing before the party started, still tryin to track it down and post it on youtube.

I didn't get to celebrate Halloween. My church was having mass and my family is big on religion. When we asked our priest why he had mass on Oct. 31st rather then Nov. 1st, He said he couldn't come. Then he said are you going to worship some kids in halloween costumes or God. It sucks I have waited a year for it and don't even get to celebrate it.   :(

Really, I'm not catholic, I'm presbyterian, my church had no problem, neither did my family, sorta.

Yep, although hes better known for Stargate Atlantis.
I've got some really bad "track marks" (where the armor pieces clip and punch your skin, leaving bruises and even cuts) everywhere.
It was put rather well in the 501'st documentary called "heart of an empire" that was shown at Armageddon (well worth a watch!) that everywhere that you see black under armor is also very sore... so very true...
