Sorry I haven't replied in quite some time, but this is looking pretty great. I'm hoping to finally start my build some time in the next week or so. Let's hope!

Thanks Noskey, Starting a build can be tough.

I started making foam chest peices with hugh's H3 files which turned out nice. The first one I nade is on the left, second on the right.

I also started to make Kirrou's H3 ODST tester helmet(310 mm height) that a had in peices for about a year. I put it togther finding that is was way too big. It goes down to my shoulders. So I rescaled for a 280mm height finding thats its too small or just right. I was thinking of converting it to foam so padding won't be to much of and issue if its too small.

Size comparison:

The one on the right is the 310mm, the 280mm. I plan on finishing it later to make sure on the size. The rim around the neck is too small, anyone know if thats fine or cutting it will fix the problem?

Im really digging this :) Your method suits you well. I has a question and that happens to be what kind of foam are you using? :) Great work overall man!

Thanks. I use EVA Foam floor mates. The Reach marine chest is quater inch think mats, while the H3 odst parts are 1 cm. I bought them at two different places, Lowe's(4 pack for $20) and BJ's(8 pack for $11 or 12, clearance and some pieces were burnt/toasted) respectively.

Beware the awesomeness that can come from a cardboard H2 ODST helmet. Brings back many good memories. Amazing foam work btw.

Thanks, I hade another chest with no increase in size like the first.

I also add more detail to the one set of shoulders. Used the textured side, so it would hold better and it looks pretty cool. for the added foam on the top I had to cut it in half, because it was too thick.

Tried to make the center stomach plate, didn't turn out so good. I have two set of all the pieces and I don't know which one turned out better.

Nice job on the foam chest piece it looks really good

Thanks, turned out better than the first. Took only a couple hours to cut it out and put together. Fitting it though took awhile longer.

I have made more progress in making the ODST helmet, its scaled 290mm. fits perfect. Took 3 times to get the scaling right. Oddly enough it bigger but smaller then my H2 helmet.

I adding foam ribbing to hold it together, I used the little strips of the foam mat. It worked quite nicley. I will being using a mix of shreded paper and wood glue (my poor rondo) to strengthen the inside and paper mache outside, visor, and rim.
