Hello everyone! Zachary and I are undertaking a massive project. we are gonna be making a Halo 3 Marine customizable armor. This thread will be dedicated to the build process from raw 3D prints to finished cast pieces. we are gonna be making parts on both our printers to speed up the process.
Here you can see the 3D models that we are gonna be using for this build. (No these won't be available for download sorry and yes there will be more customizability down the line!)

We'll keep all of you updated when we make progress, so stay tuned!

Hey everybody! I know it's been a while but I've been really busy recently. I've made a decent amount of progress on my end, and the printing process is coming along really well!

Currently, the helmet, the thigh, the butt plate, the elbow, and part of the shoulder are printed on my end, with some more still to come. Zachary has printed parts of it too, and overall the project is really starting to come together!

To clarify, for the vaccuforming process, there are several parts that only need to be printed once as it is the same on both sides, so only one of them needs to be printed.

Sorry again for the very late update on this, we'll keep you updated once we make significant progress.

So when do I get to try on the helmet xD

Heyo! So most of the pieces have finished being printed, and Zachary and I are currently sanding some of the armor pieces to prepare them for the vacuforming process, as well as the molding and casting process (Rubber/Hard resin) for other pieces that need that instead.

Thanks to Zachary for being my mannequin!

There's still a lot more work to be done on the armor, so we'll keep you updated once we make significant progress!

Any further update or the finish product? It looks really good so far. Been eyeing this for awhile before I'd joined here on the 405th,
I'm doing the same with getting my parts 3D printed by someone local.
It'll be roughly a month from this comment before I'll upload my start progress if anyone is interested in my Marine design coming up . (y)

so far things have been pretty slow, with everything happening we cant regroup to make more progress on the various molds and bucks for vacumforming, also we are in the sanding phase, so when we have free time in between school work, there is a bit of sanding, but honnestly, nothing drastic enough to post here as of right now! im excited to see what you're making!
