I’m going to make an attempt at this comm. I eyeballed a pic I saw on Google so hopefully I got the template right on a practical level, and that it’s somewhat scaled lol

If you need different view angles of this part, I can hook you up with some multiple view projections of this Command Module.

NOTE: Accidentally posted this in the Colorado meeting thread.

I’m going to be entirely honest. I’m not happy with what I’ve done and wish I had eyeballed everything better as it was coming along. I did my fitment last night. My shoulders are wrong and are too small, the belt isn’t staying up where it needs to be, and my boot covers are far too big. Bicep armor is also too thick and too high up the arm. Ugh...thought I was almost done. Can’t believe I painted this and just now seeing all of this..Can you tell that I’m a noob at this yet? Lol

The only thing that looks remotely okay to me is a profile view up close of the face area lol

I know it may be demoralising to spot some things that don't sit right, but remember it's not the end of the world. It may take a bit of extra time, but there's always a way to fix it. There's no noobs when it comes to cosplay -there are beginners, but even the professionals make those sorts of mistakes all the time.

That ODST is still looking beautiful and I love that weathering!

Much appreciated for the encouragement. I will press on and make upgrades/changes and get it to where I want to see it. I had a lot of fun regardless building it all and hope to make improvements over time :)

Alright, I am back on track. I was actually wearing my rubber shoulders and shoulder armor backwards  I also weathered the shoulder armour, the greaves, and thigh armour. And one of the stages I was struggling with the most, the belt, is finally mounted fully and correctly. I can independently throw everything on besides my boots (need some sort of slip-on shoes that still have a boot look to them). I am remaking the boot covers and possibly donating my originals, depending on if they work for the other person. Added “screws” to the powerpack, and used a whole bunch of neodymium magnets, which these things are amazing. I loved using magnets for my build. The modular feel gives it a realistic touch, at least to me. Enjoy!

I am still making the modified boot covers, but my son and I got armoured up and fought against one another. We used foam Nerf swords and training Katanas (not canon so sorry y’all lmao). It was a decent stress test on how my armour functions. Just need to reinforce the shoulders with more magnets to stay on, but everything else held up well considering we were clashing “steel”. But that’s why my belt has fallen a bit too in the photo but that’s fixed as well. We just had fun and the kiddo enjoyed playing feet first.

Finished the armour for my ODST. Just need to do a final fit test and make sure everything fits, looks, and IS properly scaled. But until I get pics of fitment, here are my props! I am adding LEDs to the SMG so the red shines where it’s supposed to. Still figuring out how to do that on the magnum but might just paint. We shall see. Also painted and added LEDs to a command module, file compliments of TurboCharizard, and printed item from TilXValhalla. Props were also printed by Valhalla. Thanks guys!

Alrighty guys, here’s a test fit with props. Please excuse the quality as Valhalla pointed out, but the picture came out a little blurry. But here’s what I have so far. Almost there. And if y’all didn’t know, the UA is magnetized as I know that’s a Reach attachment. I just like the look lol

Made the nades and finished the 3D printed helmet (looks-wise). Trying to add a voice amplifier and fans, and it’ll be how I want it to be. Oh and a magnet in the side to hold the command module. But here are the final touches. Just need to do a final fit with everything.
