Halo 4 Pepakura (Files within)

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still working on the "downloadable Udersuit". Although most of the work that i have done is R&D and writting the tutorials, I wanted to post somepic updates. I am still working on a 3D model/ Pep file (slowly). I am still asking if anyone would like to model the undersuit? if so let me know as this could move the downloadable undersuit closer to reality, because a 3d model is the only thing that is missing.
ok R&D updates:
two diferent test cards - the blue is made for superior flex and stretch , while the silver is made for medium flex and stiffer applications (liike boots or the "hard pieces" on undersuit)

this is demonstration of the blue flexing freely after droping it on the table. also the blue is a costom color I mixed a pearl into it. can you tell?

I wanted to make something that I could wear. i grabbed an old guantlet pep file and gave it a try.
also notice the two different colors. the guantlet is black but i wanted to show that you can paint it. i used a little silver (sorry about blotches, i ran out of silver)

So i kind of poked a few holes in the gauntlet when i was removing it from the pep model. Self note: "Dont Use anything sharp to remove it from the model".
but it still holds together even when i flex my arm.

So to recap: I can do the hex patterns (or any pattern), It has some stretch, I can add colors to it (any color - including but not shown - Metalics, Glitter flakes, Neon florescent and glow in the dark colors.) most importantly I can use a downloadable pep file as the base to make the the suit in three different ways. *Unfolding and glueing pep together does differ from traditional methods* writting a tutorial on that too.

who wants to help me take the undersuit off of the sewing table and place it in a downloadable / shareable file? or do i have to drag THIS on and model this myself?

Thats pretty cool Pappa... how breathable is it?

I slept in the sleeve and I didnt discolor skin or cause any irritation. but then again i accedentaly poked holes in when i was removing it from the pep-work. from the begining i imagined that it wouldnt be vary breathable but with that in mind i made a couple of workarounds. one being a series of well placed air holes. another being separations in the layout of the suit. so on and so forth. These are actually some of the reasons that i have decided that one definate way of making the undersuit is not enough. so i am putting together at least three tutorials. but, as i said before none of this flys if i cant get a finished 3d model of the undersuit.

p.s. I just saw a personal a/c that looks like it could be hidden in the back hump on undersuit and pump out cold air under the suit itself. i will have to look into this tech further but can you imagine, can you say "climate control."

I'm in the process of figuring out how to make the undershirt tomorrow with a tailor buddy of mine. If you had sewing patterns, you would save my butt! Looking forward to seeing more work.

I'm willing to help, but can you shoot me a pm. Just so I can ask stupid questions and not look like a noob in front of everyone :)

No patterns yet but I think I figured out a way to quasi/semi get patterns for fabrics using blender and pepakura ( more R&D work on that later).

@%^$ Do I start over...?

It's really freaking good, but to replace the piece I need to either unfold myself or wait for someone else to, print it, score it, cut it, and glue it which would cost about a week or two working nonstop.
What happens if you aren't patient eh?

It's really really good monkeyfuj.

Here's what I'll do, stay with this one, finishing this build first, and then HAZOP.
(In case you're wondering, yes I got on my knees for the helmet and it may not look like I'm building it right now, but it has been scaled and scored. Its just that I want to make Recon first because I was discussing with my friends how I have absolutely loved Recon since Halo 3 and asked my why I'm not making it...
And that the Recon helmet might do better in combat than the weird visor-ed Hazop.

Wasting time, keep gluing lul. Gotta finish this build already

iam waiting for the recon chest created by l3x. it looks more accurated and easy to create and comfortable to wear.
