Dude this is insane! Did you just save cardboard from whatever boxes you had or did you buy specific cardboard for it?

Awesome! It looks like you're using a mix of new cardstock and recycled cardboard, is that right?

(Oops, looks like Raven basically asked the same question)

This is incredible???? I'm so glad that I came across this thread, because I was hoping to do something similar. Question for you, though, because this is where I'm stuck on my build (besides trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to get a visor). How do you plan on sealing your armor before sanding, or is that even necessary? I was thinking of trying a thin layer of mod podge first, then spray primer to make imperfections visible, but I read that mod podge first could cause peeling... so I'm hesitant to try that.
Also, what adhesives/glues have you been using? So far, only super glue has been successful for me

I would also like to know because this build looks amazing!! If it were me my thing would be to cover all the surfaces with a thin layer of foam so it looks smooth and go over seams with qwikseal. Looking forward to the finished product!

Yo, honestly I didn't expect this thread to get attention again lol
In fact the armor has been finished for a while now
I will show the progress below

To harden the armor I used polyester resin and fiberglass, To give the armor a smooth texture I had to use automotive filler and sand it for several weeks. No doubt that was the hardest and the most tedious part of the while protect

Once i completely sand the armor, the painting process began, first applying a gray base coat of paint

Once I applied the base, I gave it several layers of chrome paint, finishing with metallic green.

I am currently still making some advancements and modifications to the armor. The most recent update is the integration of magnets in the thigh to be able to hold the Mangum

Well, I used a spray primer, followed by a coat of chrome to give the effect I wanted. And once the paint job was finished, I applied several coats of varnish to protect the paint.
And the glue wasn't a big problem since it was cardboard, I only used a glue stick. But in several parts I did end up using instant glue.
I hope this helps, and sorry for the delay, but I hardly use these forums.

Foam would have taken some time. But after spending weeks sanding and sanding automotive filler.....well, it doesn't sound like a bad alternative to be honest.
