Halo Odst Or Mw2

I can see what this thread is quickly turning into: an avenue to vent anger towards opposing game fan fronts. Personally, I don't see myself as an "Infinity Ward fanboy", but it seems that others have shown that they don't see myself in the same light. If I didn't like Halo, trust me, I wouldn't BE here. I've played both Halo and Cod rather intensely in the last few years, and I feel that everyone has the right to their own opinion on both franchises. Now, if someone decides to degrade one of those franchises without proper proof of what their talking about and without doing their homework, then I will proceed to defend either, because I know their pros and cons to the T. But it seems some people think that they have all the facts about either, and when they begin to disregard my research as a way of proving their position, it seems a rather futile and insulting attempt at winning an argument, when a set of unbiased people who could weigh the aspects of each franchise would accurately tell you which has a higher increase in feature implementation without degrading either game. Now, I realize that most of us here are diehard Halo fans, but being a Halo fan myself the last couple of years Ive realized that Halo can blind people to other good games on the market. To respond directly to ImaGonnaGetYou, everything you just said to prove your point has directly worked against you, in a rather sad way in fact because your argument falls right through.

1. The brunt of what Bungie did with ODST was just that; created new levels. Seeing as you said "anyone can do this", whats the big deal then?

2. Wow, slightly modified? This statement really shows that you have no idea what your talking about. The engine has been almost completely overhauled PERFORMANCE wise. They just happened to go the extra mile and add a graphical update to it as well. Maps are now able to be created much larger than before. If I must remind you Bungie is still using the same engine from Halo 3, no updates in tow.

3. Back to number 1. So whats the big deal?

4.Playable characters? Maps? Weapons? As far as I've seen, ODST plays out the same as Halo 3, only with aspects of stealth and less firepower worked in. You and I both know that "new playable characters' translates into ONE new playable character. Disappointing. I do my homework. Do you?

And stop acting like the only mature person on the forums with you're overuse of the term "fanboys". I call it VOICING YOURE OPINION. If oyu don't like it, too bad, but people should be able to know the truth about something before they make up their minds on it. Thats what Im trying to do, present facts. Bungie has created a great franchise; in fact the franchise that was my first love in terms of first-person shooters. But the lack of change has given me reason to tread into other games in the genre, and I'll never be happier.

I lol'ed just now because that's exactly what Infinity Ward did.

Bungie changed up lots of things in the game engine, added many graphical updates, maps are larger, free roaming areas, and, seriously, who doesn't like VISR mode?

wat

Let's see. New characters (more than one, actually, might want to read up on that. Actually, SEVERAL new characters. coughhypocritecough), Firefight, all DLC content, numerous changes to gameplay and the game engine, new achievements, Recon, new weapons, etc. etc.

What's an oyu? Also, your argument is poorly based, seeing that your "facts" on Halo 3: ODST are so wrong it's annoying to even read. As well, it's obvious that you are a fanboy of Infinity Ward because you make ODST seem worse than it is, and make MW2 seem much better than it is.

Explain to me in a non-fanboyish way how Modern Warfare 2 is as much better than ODST as you say it is, please. You sound like someone straight out of the Infinity Ward forums.

This is pointless. Both of us are getting no where trying to prove each other wrong. What I just did is no unlike myself, I involuntarily reeled at what I just read of myself. You can continue this argument, but i refuse to take any further part in it. Its plainly obvious to someone reading our responses that both of us are defending one the games. This is ridiculous, I've already pre-ordered both games, so why side with either one. I didn't think the 405th would bring out the worse in me, but there you go...

Keegan, please, stop that. This is not what I want hanging over my head, that I try to start fights on the forums. Simply put, I just think I will enjoy playing Modern Warfare 2 more than ODST. And maybe I'm wrong! Once ive played bother ODST and MW2, my opinion might change. I'm just determined at this point to stay open minded. ImaGonnaGetYou, Im sorry if I offended you or you're opinion in anyway, and I promise it will never happen again.

Now I gotta give Damarius congrats on a graceful end to the arguement. Being amiable and level-headed is highly valued here.

Anyway I don't think that I've put my opinion here yet (aside from the MW2 ref). If CoD MW2 has a mission better than "All Ghillied Up", I'm sold and forget ODST. Multiplayer will still probably just push my buttons like CoD4, why I play WaW instead.

I'll get ODST because I'm a Halo Fanboy. Plus I look forward to the added challenge (H3 Legendary was WAAAY too easy even with skulls).
