ok i made a pep helm out of packing tape and cardboard because i didn't have any glue sticks. since the paint just peals off the tape i was wondering if maybe i should spray paint the helmet grey, then resin it, then spray paint it the color i want. that way when the paint chips off i get a battled look underneath. would the resin eat away the tape?? is the any other way i can make the paint sick with out having to make a whole new one?? thanks alot. ( pics are coming on monday)

have you tried using Primer?
if spray primer doesnt work, you could always use the ones you apply with a brush. using those House Primers might also make it water proof

yea, i think if you resin over the packing tape, it will dissolve.
