Wow! My first greeting...here goes. Welcome to the 405th; although I'm sure our number far surpasses that number but anyway a great first step is to check out the stickies here in the noob section. And the search bar will be your best friend these first steps on making your first halo suit. Good luck!

Fresh meat! Haha JK. Welcome to the 405th! first off let's get you familiar with some lingo we use around here. First off, there aren't any real "bluebrints" for making armor. The most common form of starting armor is called Pepakura, which is a paper crafting software in which you print out sheets of a heavy type of paper (cardstock or cereal box cardboard) and you fold and glue together to form the basic shape. these "Pep" files can be found all around the site, and theres is a (slowly getting outdated) Pepakura wiki which has a ton of downloadable files. you will need to aquire Pepakura designer from their website, but be informed, you cannot save files without buying it, so if you want to record sizes and such, you will just have to write them down or buy the thing (its a free download and works fine without buying)

Other then that all i can say is watch Adam's introduction videos and read the stickies. it may seem like a lot, but it is nothing compared to haveing a set of real life halo armor. AND REMEMBER! dont lose motivation!

Please do your homework before starting a new thread next time. Threads are for things you wanna show off or questions you REALLY couldn't find the answers to. This is a question you could've had answered in just minutes on your own if you had looked at the stickies (which noobs are supposed to do anyways) or used the search bar at the top. Google is your friend too. Welcome to the forums, but please read all the important information before posting. Forums can get really cluttered with really simple questions like this that have been answered a thousand times before when every noob throws a new thread in.

To answer your question, what you're looking for is a software called Pepakura and Pepakura files.

Pepakura is available here: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/

The viewer is free, but the designer costs money to register. You can download it and scale files without registering it, but the downside is you can't save anything so you'll have to resize and move all the pieces back around whenever you wanna do something.

One place to find Pepakura files to use with the software is here: http://www.4shared.com/folder/rxBUzZt0/405th_Pepakura_Database.html

This should be more than enough to get started. For anything else you need, I can promise you it's all available if you just dig around a little. Please keep this in mind for next time. Thanks, and welcome to the 405th.

Hi and again welcome. first and foremost I would check out the new members video in this link:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/15735-New-Recruit-Orientation-Video
Next Introduce yourself in the "introduce yourself" sticky in the Noob forum.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!!
Download the papercraft building software "Pepakura" in this link:
http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/download/viewer.html
you can make it a little easier on yourself to also download this package:
http://www.4shared.com/file/ZwVUTUEJ/405th_Pep_Pack_17.html
This package contains the most general of the halo files and you can never go wrong using this file, although there are plenty of others to choose from as well. THIS package contains those "blueprints" you were asking for. Although it would better to call them models on here. (the site's jargon will come over time :) )
Other than that, you should be set for some basic modeling. If you have anymore basic questions feel free to send me a message or try and contact some of the more experienced members. Welcome, and never forget the stickies if you ever have some issues. Good luck on your future modeling!
