Hi everyone, am having trouble scaling this helmet to be big. the file am using is the shark head iron man for foam by jowe, i scale it to 288mm and its small. i was working from the lower back to the top and it fits more a kids head then mine. why is it that small??? also another thing that concerns me is that everytime i scale a helmet or amor etc when i click print it tells me that the scale chosen is not the same as the printer, would you like to adjust scale ??? if i click yes the parts like shrink even though there at 288 mm so they can fit the paper but if i click no the pieces stay big as they are and how i want but they tend to get out the paper even though i can fix that but also end up small. what am i doing wrong??

Yep, that's what adjust scale does. never click yes! it adjusts the scale to whatever size (you can't find out what scale) to fit the paper size.
I don't know the Iron Man helmet, but apparently you scaled it too small, or it's because of the automatic scale thing. Ok, what paper size are you printing to? It would be nice if you could provide any screenshots. Not sure if I got it right what's your problem.

ok ill send you some screen shots of my paper settings

First of all, sorry for the really short answer, but I'm in hurry.

how can i make them big and fit the paper???

You can't. The piece is just too big to fit on a single page. Just place your big pieces in the middle of 2 pages, and pepakura designer should print each half on a on a 1 single page, you then have to glue the two pieces together to get the original big size piece. You could also enable "print alignement marks for multiple pages" in the print and paper settings.

Ohhhh ok never though of that, always though that if it doesnt disjoint and fit on the paper that it wouldnt print out right like that.

Sorry, I have to revoke, you can, sort of. You don't have to print on 2 pages. You can always join/disjoin faces (right click on the right screen). ;) Try it and see for yourself what it does, it's pretty much self-explenatory. It pretty much does the same, but is a little more comfortable. Nevertheless you have to glue the disjoined faces together if you want a single foam piece.

almost forgot this are my settings in printer settings

also i tried printing out the faceplate to practice the scaling and it printed it wrong because i place the part in the middle of two pages since its big and it printed the right side perfect but the left side some of it not all of it. like this./ ive tried putting it a couple of times but it keeps printing it wrong, it doesnt print each part on one side so it can be glued and make it one piece :(

Yep, looks like there's something missing, I don't know why. :( Well then try it with the join/disjoin faces method ;)

I usually get better results with vector print, guess it's a matter of taste, everthing else looks ok.

I hate iron man haha this helmet is soo grrr but thanks for all your help, really learned something new about those
horrible big pieces.

Yeah i know how that works since that option is your best friend for foam building but tje faceplate and other armor parts dont disjoint, they youst creat a lime and thats it. It doesnt split when its suppouse to
