Hey guys I'm new to the forum but I had an idea and I wanted to share its. I don't know if anyone has already come up with it but i haven't seen a post of it yet. A company called Recon Instruments makes a HUD device to go in snowboard goggles and it shows time, temperature, altitude, ect. I thought it would be cool to incorporate this in a helmet to make it more realistic. Its pricy but its just an idea.

Aye man. This isnt the firs time ive seen this idea float around. Why not try it out instead of show us and have a threa advertising the same product. Not trying to be mean or anything man but i know some members may come out and tell ya theyve had enough. It seems like a good idea why not try it

I agree. An idea is just an idea. Thread like this is frowned upon by members here.

I have been here for several years now and I can say this is not the first thread with a HUD. And I can tell you that they were all just ideas and if I recall correctly, no one have a working copy. The concept is too expensive and impractical to wear as a costume.

Please do a search before continue with this subject. Don't be surprised if this thread gets locked by MOD.

i apologize for my thread i did not realize that it was bad. i am glad to know and i promise i won't do t again. and on the search win i searched for it in the search bar nothing came up. but thank you again for letting me know its frowned upon.
Good luck with your builds!

just have to say this looks awesome and it seems to have smart phone connectivity feature which is sweet, just it doesn't seem to project more so just a tiny screen

Well, I agree with everyone else. It would be a pretty awesome idea. However, I'm just not sure how practical it would be in your armor. Granted its an awesome idea, but why would you need to know your air time, altitude and what have ya. Personally I think it is just a waste of valuable funds. As for the music part of it... I forget who made it, but I seen a video of dude crashing a star trek convention (LOL!) anyway he had an awesome idea (one I will probably steal.) of making a port inside his forearm to house a smart phone. given a small Bluetooth stereo headset, you have your music, and a way to communicate with your other Spartan or ODST armored friends, much like how the Spartans can communicate to each other without having any unwanted people from hearing your conversation.
