here's the story,

i was going to test out the SW: republic commando's online multiplayer (yes i just got the game and yes i know how old it is) and found out that my 13 month gold subscription has expired...i haven't even had my 360 for that long. i'v only had it since october, that just over half of the time it was supposed to last.

has this happened to anyone / does anyone know why this might have happened?

I didn't even know you could play Republic Commando on the 360. Last time I tried, it read it as a CD.

Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX, and tell them the problem. You must have the code from the 13 month card on hand, or they won't be able to help you.

Never heard of that happening, other than getting banned, I guess?
But I also don't use the 360 for xbox games.. Doesn't feel right to me for some reason.
I guess its the xbox giving an evil look...

damn Microsoft again, unfortunately i don't have the card anymore so i'll just get a new one but i'll keep this one till it runs out.

i'v played a bunch of xbox games on the 360, not all of them work but most of them are fine.
@cpu64 - lol i'm fine with that at least it's not giving me the evil RED eye lol

thanks for the help guys.

You can't play original xbox games (not including the ones in the marketplace) online with an xbox 360. Only singleplayer and the limited multiplayer (up to four people on an xbox/system link).

No clue why your gold account was cut though.

I think you're mistaken Nugget, I used to play Halo 2 on my 360 before Halo 3 came out and I was able to get in the lobby for Mechassault 2 the other day......you can't use the Xbox guide though since it's emulating the old XBL interface.

I dunno, I've got a bunch of original Xbox games with multiplayer, and they all just say 'loading' or something along those lines when I try to connect, and crash.

They probably just don't have dedicated game-servers anymore. Try Halo 2. There's probably only a couple thousand people online but I bet you can get in a game.
