Ok so I've fiber-glassed the inside of my helmet, it's pretty solid now. I just have one small problem: Jagged fiberglass shards =D

So obviously I'm going to sand down most of it, I'm using 100 grit sand paper for it, but even then, I don't necessarily like the idea of putting it uncovered on my head.

Should I just coat it in a primer after I finish sanding, or Should I coat it in something like gaffa tape before the padding goes in

seevral asnwers to this

1. I know its all a learnign process - but dont rush your FG stage and try to get it smoother with each project.

2. the rondo idea is really good,a dn one I use often - I would use a more liquid rondo mix, 80%resin 20%bondo for instance.

3. just slush the FG resin (ie the liquid part alone) around to coat the inside surface

3. can use a slushable polyurethan resin to coat the inside

4. put foam at the points of max sharpness or contact points with your face.

enjoy
