Im not sure if anybody has noticed this yet but i was watching iron man 2 last night and it came to my attention that in the suits, war machine and iron man are significantly taller... i cant find any pictures at the moment, but ill take some screen shots when i get home from work, if you have the film at hand, go to the section where Hammer is unveiling War Machine at the expo, when iron man comes in, Hammer walks past them and hes easily a foot and a half shorter, has anybody else noticed this? All the iron men on here appear to be about 6 foot lol. another key sign is just look at the legs on the iron men suits, they are much longer than regular ones, or is it just me

Well, I know what you're talking about and was wondering how this would be fixed in a real-life pep-armor situation but I'm guessing it would either already be fixed in the pep file or you would have to scale the arms and legs a bit differently to make them fit your proportions. Either that or come up with some insane hand/fingers puppeteering rig that will fit inside the forearm so you can move the hands.

And get platform shoes for the boots lol

But, I'm not an expert (I'm the biggest noob here by far...haven't even started on a pep suit yet because I don't have a printer, and can't afford one at the moment.) so someone else is probably far better qualified to answer your question than I am.

cheers

I'm not sure if you noticed that "it's a movie"...

do you think im that stupid? seriously? i know its a movie! it aint no damn pantomime is it?! i was just saying that if the suits in the film are taller than a regular person's height then wouldnt it be more movie accurate to match that in a costume?

yeah it is weird how much taller they get in the suit when I looked at the first movie Tony steps into the shoes at his normal height and it seems like he's average height in the armor. but in Ironman 2 the armor grows a whole foot taller, im just guessing the director wanted the armor to be more menacing, and had the cgi upped a bit.

exactly, the effect definately is more intimidating. so if someone peps the new suit that would definately be a factor i think should be involved

Im pretty sure the suit is around 6'5. I was reading over on the RPF forum and a sculptor there may get a commission from marvel to sculpt the suit

In the comics Tony Stark is about 6" to 9" shorter than when he is Iron Man.

Maybe, Tony Stark secretly does a have super powers much like Mr Incredible but doesn't tell anyone because he doesn't want anyone thinking that he is a copycat :p
