ok think i'm done with this helmet:) it's my first go and looks a bit rough but learned a lot from it... pretty happy with the finished look too. I reckon I'll do a lot different on my next build but might try and keep this look for the rest of the bits of this build, just so it all looks the same. Anyhow here a few shots, if anyone has any pointers or ideas please let me know, I'm always up for some feedback or constructive criticism.

thanks!!!!

Looks really good.

Now don't go talking about the man's lady like that. j/k

Honestly, looks very nice man. I had some ideas for hinging that helmet about a month ago. The best I could come up with was something like this http://www.weldingsupplyusa.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&vstore=2&page2=/storefront/itemdetail.php&query1=&action=prepare_detail&itm_id=4637&prodId=58306&sku=045-A885&catno=358

There are welding helmets with face shields that move similar to how Ironman's helmet should. It would be spring assisted. That's not the exact hinge used on a welding helmet, but I'm at work and didn't have time to find the right one. Just a thought...

wow.. amazing great work man.. i can't wait to see how its completed =D would be awesome next to a iron man

This looks like a pretty unique build. Great job!
Looking forward to seeing the finished costume.

Definitely a cool idea. You should do the rescue armor suit also since you have a pretty close chest, pelvis and wrist piece. All you will have to do is the helmet.

this is awesome. i just tried to download the pep files and it doesn't work saying files are corrupt. can you email me the pdo files please.

Hi all, about 3 weeks ago i came across pepakura and was blown away by the quality of some peoples work. So right there i took it on myself to do some of this, I had a lot of the iron man upper half finished and one or two of the lower bits done only to find out I need a good bit of practise at fiberglassing... this was my work before i messed it all up...

so a bit down and over having to start most of it again i tried a smaller helmet on my girlfriend only to find it was a perfect match

so i thought i might be able to make an iron woman costume and build a his and hers set up for halloween. here was my sketch...

This is what I was thinking when I first saw the OP's first post too. You should definitely do this once you finish this project!

Anyway, awesome work so far. Especially on the pep work too.
