King Of The Hill....cancelled

King of the Hill has been cancelled in order to make room for the family guy spin off, "The Cleveland Show". I cant believe it. Why would fox kill a creative, funny show for a cheap way to try to ride the success of family guy?

Simply put, King of the Hill wasn't making money anymore. No matter how good a show is to those of us that are fans, if it doesn't make money, it's not going to last. Look and Firefly.

i stopped watching king of the hill years ago... i really liked the first couple seasons, sometime after season 7 i stopped caring.



Cleveland is a great supporting character, but i dont think they will be able to make a whole quality show on him.... now Stewie and Brian would make a great show...

It just seems ridiculously cheap to me. The Cleveland show is almost (if not) the EXACT same premise as Family Guy. First Billy Mays dies, then King of the Hill gets cancelled?!?!? What is the world coming to?

I used to watch King of the Hill, and the jokes got a little annoying and not funny.

Family Guy is more preferable, because they have new jokes that are funny, and old jokes, that just doesn't get old.

To be Honest I really didnt like it anyway...just wasnt funny. It got super boring and pointless after I watched about 15 or so episodes.

I would rather watch a spinoff of Family guy anyway...If Seth Mcfarlanes involved then it HAS to be funny

When I heard they were pitching a Cleveland show I thought it was a spoof commercial. Then I realized that it WASN'T a joke and I got irrate (like why is this real?).



I think Simpsons and Futurama should have been channeled there. In my opinion it's a good example of 2 very different, standalone successes by the same creative mind. I mean, following the McFarlane logic, he'd have given Ned Flanders or Doctor Hibbert his own spinoff show.



Between Family Guy, American Dad, and the Cleveland Show they've just overwhelmed me here. I've lost nearly all interest. That and I know if I want to get my Seth Green humor, I can tune to Robot Chicken. Now there's a show.

They are making a new season of Futurama, I think it's going to be on Comedy Central. Not just the movies split up into episodes, either.

I find it utterly hilarious. I think it helps living in Texas and seeing the characters on an every day basis in the people you interact with.

It's gone downhill admittedly, but please don't lump it in there with educational children cartoons.. Rofl.

both probably not great television, but at least the cleveland show still has _some_ potential, whereas king of the hill has none. (if they changed KotH too much, fans would moan about it being to different and if they leave it the same, it's just plain boring).

Personally I think King of the Hill is WAAAYYY better than family guy. family guy just relies on raunchy flashbacks dealing with pop culture whereas King of the Hill has meaningful story lines that have subtle, but hilarious humor underlying a more serious topic.
