Im looking for a thailand version of this. I ve gotten a few models that are recasts from thailand before. for like 20 bucks. anybody know any ebay sellers that have these, I searched but no luck. I also searched here for info but just found the regular sale ones for 80 bucks. looking for a model kit unpainted unassembled version. trimmable or whatever.. anybody know of one?

I posted here because I tried posting the halo universe spot but Im to nooberific apparently. mods move this someplace if its not wanted here. sorry and thanks.

so you're searching specifically for recasters? Just cough up the dough for the real version, it's worth it.

Im searching specifically for a cheap one, if you find me one for 20 bucks, Ill buy it. Id even take a dinged up one with a broken arm if it was cheap. my budget for reference materials is tighter than a mosquitos BLEEP. I use my models for reference, not display. I dont have the dough for the real thing, trust me, Ive seen them in game stores, theyre beautiful, just out of my price range. I use a certain ebay seller from thailand and his models are good quality, the trimming is a nightmare but the price is ok and it works for what I need it. Id rather save my money for a fantastic helmet or something. juuuust checking...

If you find a seller please let me know, I have a ton of collectables and I really want one, even if its a recast.
will do. the guy I usually use has never even seen the halo3 statue. I had to send him a pic to describe what it was. maybe he will find it soon. I prefer kits instead of statues cuz I like to paint them myself.

Wait....Isn't its against the rules or something? Its not cool (forbidden) if anybody is recasting stuff from this forum, but if its Kotobukiya's stuff is "okay"?

If your are really doing this fir the reference (something i seriously doubt) and don't have the cash here a solution:

More then enough reference pictures of the statue, good luck with your armor
okay, mind your own beeswax and read the whole thread next time. Im not making armor, Im not recasting anything and dont assume Im lying. its bad for your human nature. Im doing artwork based on halo, I want a statue to use as reference for when i paint mc. I have access to photos of the statue as well(thanks for that super link though..) , I would use the statue to light it a certain way and then photograph certain parts of it to use as my reference to paint from. (ala alex ross, hildebrandt bros..any sci fi painter..)mostly..) recasting someone elses work is not good. Im just asking if anybody has these already recasted. read the thread and youll see that an ebay seller i use sells nothing but recasts. im not going to pay 80 bucks for the statue, then pour a bunch of money into molds and casts and then sell them for cheap. I barely have time to paint. I do appreciate your interest in my thread though. go fold some paper now. thanks tiger!
