first I sanded it down

and cracked it in the middle

Now I got stuck with the electronics.

Under the small silver plate is a strong maget I found in the maindrive of my computer.
With it I can fix the weapon to my halo armor.
Also I have ordered a laiserpointer(for the barrel), but I dont know how to make a number display.
How did you make this blue numbers?

Also, corrently i´m ordering the resin for the rest of my armor- how much should I buy for a masterchief and some weapons(ma5c,pistol...)?

thank you for your answers

nice work on the rifle it looks pretty badass and for your resin this might not be an accurate answer but probably two or three things of it

If you don't want it to actually work, I would suggest a blue LED back light with a acrylic face that has the image stenciled onto it.

1) Figure out the size you will need.
2) Draw out the stencil you need in paint or another graphics program
3) Print it out on a page of normal paper.
4) Cut out two pieces of clear acrylic in the size necessary for the display.
5) Carefully glue the pieces of acrylic together with the piece of paper between them.
6) Install with a blue LED behind it.

You don't cut out the white parts of the display (the numbers and compass) because it will help to diffuse the light and make it look even.

can anybody tell me how to make the number display?
it should look like that:

What you see in the picture is a seven-segment LED display, you can get these from electronics stores. You can wire it like LEDs if you just want it to show one number, or you can use a microcontroller like an Arduino and make it count down. Thatdecade also used to sell kits for this.

If you don't want anything moving and a more game-accurate display, you can also use back- or edgelighting and sheets of plastic, thatdecade experimented with this as well.

If you want to to be somewhat game-accurate and moving, you can use a small graphical display, but that's a lot more difficult than using just LEDs and it's also hard to fit in there due to the shape of most gun.

Thank you, I´m not really an electrician, but the idear whith the shees and the leds behind sounds really good -great idear, thanks!
