After countless hours of researching on the web with articles, and watching countless you tube videos. I noticed da frontline trooper was using 2 inch thick polystyrene to make his weapons. And I realized if have like 3 or 4 4x8 sheets out I the barn. When I have put this up on different jobs, I have never used a hot knife just a saw. That won't work for these props. So I did like da frontline trooper said, and when and got a bunch of cheap blades. They really are not working. My question is of anyone that worked with polystyrene is a hot knife worth the cost? Whether I build one myself or buy one. I bought a crappy one from michaels store but it so bad it's going back tomorrow. Any help is appreciated.
