Haha glad it worked out alright!
Well I'm a size 6 English 8 American..
Soo I have to ask because I'm in love with your armour.. I'm not ashamed to admit this but the photo of you with your gun pointed at the camera is my wallpaper.. ^^
It's inspiring to me..
Anyway.. The question is.. Could you provide some insight into how you got that crazy dark grey yet silvery metallic look on your armour? I'd love to try that out!
I rescaled the toes down a bit. I'm a size 5 (yeah, I know, I'm not a tall guy). They fit my boots perfectly and were a joy to fold as well! Thanks!
Wow... I'm speechless...

I can give you a higher res pic if you'd like, Nat.
Now, on with the armour surfacing technique. I must admit I was aiming for something else, but got something else entirely! I guess the key is in the surface itself. I didn't have time to really sand the plates smooth. There were a lot of uneven areas caused by the resin and rondo (I brushed the rondo on).
I must have messed up the rondo mix because it cured way too fas for my liking, and resulted in the uneven surfaces. Anyway, after the resin/rondo cured, I sanded the surfaces using a sander and some parts by hand with sandpaper. It was actually to roughen up the surface a bit so that the paint can adhere to it.
Next, I took a can of silver spray paint and painted all of the parts silver. The next step is what gave the suit its unique texture. I saw a video on youtube of a guy using cloth to wipe a way black spray paint (black washing, right?). I tried to imitate this guy's technique but instead of rubbing it in, I went over the wet paint lightly with an old t-shirt. even dabbed at it at some places. Do it in small sections at a time.
Having done this, I took a brush and sprayed silver into it. Then used the brush to "dry brush" the spray paint onto the armour. Concentrate on raised parts because those parts are the most likely to have the paint chipped off or the metal worn out. I went over some parts again with the black and then dry brushed the silver a couple of times until I got the effect I wanted.
If you have access to matt clear, you might want to give your armour a coat of that stuff to "lock-in" the effect. There you have it. I hope that helps! :d
I was about to write that I didn't know you could fold pepakura out of wrought iron.NOICE!
That leather undersuit is a testament to the personal dedication Red has invested in his armor. I've never been to Malyasia, but the humidity hinted at in the pics outdoors made ME feel humid.
S-III//Romeo one-zero-niner*Recommend you maintan hammered metal finsh*.../Over
Thanks, man! The leather jacket wasn't that hot to be in, but then again perhaps I am used to the Malaysian weather!

The jacket actually helped to keep my biceps and gauntlets in place.
S-II//alpha niner-six-five*Copy that. Will maintain hammered metal finish. Romeo one-zero-niner out*
Just curious as to which thigh file you used, I like it!
It was modeled by SJSUSpartan and unfolded by Ral Partha. Was a bit hard to fold near the top front edge, though.

And I must thank you again because most of the armour was your handiwork!
