Mark five neck???

hey, im making mark five armor, and the pep file i used included a neck peice as you can see below

right now with the inside not padded, the head will not turn with my head due to the fit, and my nck hitting the neck peice, does anyone know if i need to take it off, or should i just wait to take it off if i need to once finished???

id take it off and just make a cloth neckseal. its going to get beat up and funky looking once it starts rubbing on the chest piece, and you will have to force it everytime you turn your head.

not entirely sure though, has anyone done a mark five with this?
