Master Chief & Cortana At Gaming Convention Asia 2009

Hey 405th,



Some photoshopwork from Sue, with photos taken from Jason.

While these were taken at a gaming event here in Singapore, it was also the showcase for Calliopeia's [aka Sue] new Cortana and my Spartan upgrades. Even threw in a generic hybrid recon marine with spare castings I had lying around and Dave's V2 Recon.

Having seen it up close, gotta say that Sue's final suit touch up, makeup and wig, made her an awesome Cortana.

HAHAHA! I tried putting on the Mjolnir helmet too, but halfway down, the beads on my wig started making grating noises against the side of the helm, and I quickly took it out again. I made a mental note to wear it when I take off my wig at the end, which I promptly forgot.



Ack I have horrible red eyes! D: Silly flashes. Hate. Also, I need to think of better poses. Cortana's standard poses got boring after a while.



Gotta thank Edwin the random recon helmeted marine too. He helped me with the makeup at the back of my neck (both the application and removal lol) because somehow this breed of humans don't come with eyes on the back of their heads. Need to put in a request for an upgrade for the next version.

It's not actually a new Cortana in that sense. Two year-old suit with some upgrades (that I didn't even complete cos I got lazy). Yep. And new wig.

Unfortunately no, however the suit both Edwin and myself had a hand in building/casting/strapping will be. That's right, Iron Man, who will be there to represent Singapore, was made by us.

Tim, that Iron Man costumes has cosplayers here in Perth scared. They don't think they have a chance of beating it in the competition, and to be honest I don't think they will either. Just tell your friend to keep an eye out for the guy in the Ezio costume. That'll be me
