Hello 405th!

My name is Ryan!

About 2 1/2 months ago, I found this website and thought everything on here was pretty amazing! I made a goal to make a full suit myself and get it all finished in time for Halloween and the midnight release of Halo 4. I had no idea what I was in for because it took a lot of time, money, work, and dedication to complete something of such great magnitude!

I'm a huge Halo fan! After seeing Adam Grumbo's armor and all the other fantastic suits at comic-con and rtx, I wanted one sooo bad! So, my adventure took off and I decided to do Master Chief because why on earth would I not want to?!

This is my first ever build of anything like this, so I was new to everything! I got pepakura on my computer and went crazy! So Let's see some progress pics, shall we?

But, first, before I do that, I want to say I couldn't do any of this without the amazing work from the talented "Kingrahl", "Monkeyfuj", "Robogenesis", and "Rhinoc"! You guys ROCK! I hope I can learn 3-D animation and be as good as you guys!

Estimated working time: 400 hrs
Approximate materials cost: $350

*UPDATE* FINISHED COSTUME!

I used fiberglass and rondo for the helmet. Everything else I just used rondo because fiberglass was just a pain in my rear! So now it's time for the resin and bondo stage pics!

Looks like you did a great job on your build!

How does it fit (so far)?

Everything seems to be about the right size for me. I think once the padding is in, everything will fit just right. My only concern is I think I made the thigh pieces too big. I feel they will be rubbing against each other when I walk. I won't know till the padding is installed.

Thank you guys for the comments! It's been a lot of work! Overall, I spent about 400 hours making it and spent $350 on supplies!

I installed the visor and some led lights! I've got one more day to work on it till Halloween! Just gluing in straps right now. I'll post finished pics soon!

Great job there man! At first, it was a pretty good, but the weathering really brings out your armor!
