Meeting your Hero's

Vaz Beloi

So, as I meet more and more celebrities from the haloverse, I want to go back to when I first met Steve Downs, and Jen Taylor, so as it was, it was my ever first time meeting them, I didn't know if I, Vaz Beloi, just an ODST would make a long lasting impression on them, but when I met them, they truly respected me, said my creativity in my outfit was outside the box thinking, Jen Taylor even gave me a nickname that'll stick with me for as long as I live, as it was during their interview in Michigan, and it was live, "Jack the Lumberjack", as for a living, I cut down trees for a living, then I met the man, the beast, the Lord of Admirals himself, Ron Perlman, AKA Lord Hood, when I first met Ron Perlman, I must admit I was skeptical because I thought he'd keep a straight and serious face amongst the fans, but when I met him and got my books signed by him, he was singing to his fans, listening to what I believe was music from the 50's, maybe the 40's, I left him with a parting gift as per his other personas from different movies, I left him with one of Michigans finest cigars from my grandfather's collection, he humbly accepted the gift, he completely surprised me with his humility towards the fans, completely human and fantastic in every way. This comicon, of November 2025, as I met with the 405th, my brothers and sisters, I met three people of significant importance. The first was Mike Colter, aka Commander Locke, or now known as SIV Locke, the man stood tall and intimidating but had a heart of gold and his personality all in all was heart warming in a sense. The second was Alan Tudyk, known as ODST Mickey, multiple marines from Halo 2 and 3, and now known in the books as SIV Michael Crespo, sadly there will be no photos of Alan Tudyk in this post as when I went to see him? He wasn't doing photos, but it turns out that Alan Tudyk still to this day plays the fantastic franchise of Halo, one day, hopefully soon, I can recruit him to the MidSummerNight for the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers on Halo Reach on MCC... Before I name the last person of significance, I want to point out that funnily enough? I got called in for a downed tree call, took me a good hour at the very least, I thought I was going to miss my shot with this good man, the man that grandfathered in an entire generation of Spartans, Marines, and ODST's that enjoy fighting and besting all known covenant and banished and flood alike, the myth, the legend, Casper Van Dien! This one as it turns out, also enjoys playing on the console every now and then, even invited me to try my hand at a Starship Troopers video game at his side, he was even kind enough to personally invite me into his discord server. As I end the list of fantastic actors that we all love and cherish, I want to point out that, not one of these meetings was a disappointment! These actors, were, and always will be, my hero's, and they did not fail to act as such, this is a summary to encourage new members that join our ranks in the 405th not to be afraid to meet your hero's, despite old sayings and new aside, they may yet surprise you, and even respect you as they respected me.
