Mic and Speaker Questions

Hey everyone! I recently finished my halo armor and took it out for a con and around town and I absolutely love it. However now that it is finished there are some upgrades I want to add to it. Specifically, a speaker and mic system for the helmet so I can hear and talk. I've seen tons of tutorials out there of how to do it with headphones and mics that I would install into the helmet, but I was wondering if someone has had any experience with Bluetooth in this regard. I've tested it and my earbuds will stay in my ears without falling when I put on the helmet and it would be really easy to find a way to connect to a speaker through my phone with Bluetooth and then. I don't know if this will be possible the other way around with sound coming in, but I can hear mostly ok without anything helping sound come in. If anyone has any idea as to how this would work it would be greatly appreciated.

Incoming - Using your phone and earbuds in "hearing aid" mode. I've seen some apps for it. A friend's dad does it and leaves the phone in front of the TV and it pips the sound to his ear buds. That way everyone in the room has the same experience and they don't have to crank the TV for dad. Same idea here: Put your phone on your belt or gauntlet. Plus you're already paired up if someone calls you while at the convention: "Hey, we're all meeting for lunch"

Outgoing is pretty easy and commonly done with bluetooth speakers from Amazon etc. You see them all the time for classrooms and such.
Mic in the helmet and an amplified speaker in your chest armor.
