Foam Mk VI Gen 3 Custom

Some pretty decent foamsmithing on the chest this morning, I won’t really do all the fancy details since my chest attachment will be on top of it, so just doing a basic silhouette of it.

Trying out the Hobby Lobby foam and it’s very nice actually, fairly dense and very sandable and cheap! Loving it so far! This is just 10mm and 5mm foam while making my angle cuts on the back side, very simple foaming technique

Kicking around the idea of maybe doing some custom work and free hand my own templates for the Mk IV up-armored additions, could be cool.

Just being an absolute tank of a Spartan would be pretty cool.

What do you guys/gals think?

Well, live and learned I tried doing my under cut/score technique, but didn’t take it account I have to curve it a little bit, so it kinda ripped at some of the seams, so this be a failed attempt, but I’ll post it anyway, making a V2 now

I’ll cut back on underscoring for V2, just this one is not as clean as I like.

Sooooo I did crank out most of the chest buuuut I scaled to my shoulders which was a mistake because apparently the widest point on the Mk VI is not the shoulders but the thrusters, which makes it a snug fit, but too snug for the undersuit bits, but I did get a pic with it on with some failed (not to my liking) shoulder and gauntlet bits from the Mk vii build, had to take the pic like 6ft away from the mirror to fit in it (need a bigger mirror)

Also in the middle of remodeling the bathroom too, so don’t judge, or no more pics.

With the bucket on I’m 6’1” without like 5’11”ish, which is kinda cool, but anyway, off to rescale probably by just 25-35mm or so should be good

Later peeps
