That would be very cool! That also gives me another idea. What if you got something like brown acrylic paint and made some dirt stains or something similar? That way it would look like you've been through some tough battles.

Your work so far looks great! Could we get some more pictures of the helmet?

This may be one of my new favorite threads because I'm working on an ODST-variant Mark VI Spartan suit as well. I'm beginning to fiberglass my HD torso today, while my helmet is about 98% complete (waiting for gold visor installation and some resistors for the lighting circuit).

Anyway it's sweet to see another ODST Spartan suiting up. Hopefully we can share ideas to make the suits the best they can be.

I'll get some more pics of the helmet, what angles do you want them from?
i think i might have some brown acrylic, i was thinking just running a few brushstrokes on the dirty areas and then just sanding them a little with low grit paper to give them that scuffed up look

Thanks! and that sucks about the warping and stuff, im going to try to avoid that by putting in some support struts, i need to do that to the torso too, otherwise it's going to fall apart on its own <:$
I was also unaware that there was a hi def ODST, where did you find one?

not a whole lot of thought on that yet, i dont really think it would matter for like halloween, but if im gonna make a movie, i need better than underarmor and athletic pants. i saw a thread on the old site about some really-good-for-an-undersuit type of motocross wear, but since the collapse of the old site, i havent been able to find it.
and mustang, i was looking at that camo from the fullmetaljacket site, and it looks a lot like what i've seen some SWAT teams using, imagine that, a SWAT SPARTAN!

got some pics of the codpiece, i could only tape the sides so i could put this on, so when i am done with this piece, im going to need to put some buckles in the sides.

Out of curiosity, since I am really really new to this. What are you doing to get the pieces numbered and the lines to come out red and blue. Just writing them in with pen? And about how long does each piece take you to cut and put together?

It's looking very good so far though, totally jealous of how good it looks.

Im using pepakura designer 3 (not pepakura viewer 3, i made that mistake when i started )
it automatically numbers the edges for you, and you can scale your armor through it. I saw a tip on the old 405th site somewhere that it can help to color the type of fold with pen, i like to use liquid ink pens, blue for mountain folds, and red for valley folds. As to the time of each piece, it really depends on how big or how complicated the piece itself is
