Hello guys, does any one tried it before? Imagin MC Going on cool motorbike through the busiest road during Saturday evening :D that't my plan! But, but but but! Did anyone here tried to make a pepak of MC helmet and tried to fit it on normal motorcycle helmet somehow?? I've seen a guy on ytube who did one but he bought it from the shop and just cut it pieces and sticked it to helmet.. and it was mar VI I think (I'm doing mark V from first part of halo) I don't really know how to start it... Make pepak, cut in pieces and just stick it? Hmm if yes which places to cut etc. Does anyone been through that??? I want to do it before expo in London which is 29th of october! Any help guys?? Thanks

Bart

Mr Plod wont like it and a polycarb lid wont save your grey stuff if some idiot knocks you off either. They are weakned by glues and paints.

If your desperate for 'the look' pep something that will fit over a decent fiberglass lid but still expect Mr Plod to take a closer look and maybe even charge you with some kind of motoring offence.

You might find an airbrush artist who can paint your lid to look like MC's ?

As a former motorcycle safety instructor I can say that I have seen a lot of people modify their helmets safely. Most places here in the states don't really care if you modify it as long as you dont screw into it or weaken the integrity of the original helm in any way. Heck some states don't even have helmet laws in which you could ride with a glass helmet if you wanted to (REALLY bad idea BTW). Depends how the laws are in your area, I would take a close look at that first. If you find that its ok then I would Modify a pepped helm to fit over a real one like you and active84u said.

I know, I'm not that dumb to screw something in to helmet hehe. Not a first day rider, been a few time on a trip through the Europe etc ;) That's why I'm asking on this forum is there anyone who attempted before this sort of work because I'm pretty sure that I'm not the first one who would like to do a little mod to helmet (again, without messing about with integrity of the helmet) I will post any progress with that but first I have to start with SOMETHING. That's why I'm here :) Sooo.. ideas ideas ideas :)

yeah i wana pimp mine out too, unsure what the laws are for us in the uk though :/
my mate got stopped cause he had a stick on his helm so yeah :/

Ya the guy you mentioned that cut up a cheap mask, he mentioned that he screws right into it, I was like DOH! Your supposed to throw it away if you even so much as drop a motorcycle helm. Anyway your asking for Ideas, I have two.

One: Pep a full helm, resin the outside and rondo the inside then cut into thirds, and cut those up so that it looks right and glue it to your real helmet and give the whole thing a new paintjob.

Two: buy this helmet and add smaller details to make it look like masterchief and add paint. of course that will be expensive but would make a good platform to start with.

I was thinking about that to be honest, but for that price I can finish my whole armor so I guess I stick with pep and glueing it around helmet or something. But first I'll try something else, I was thinking about making it from hard foam and just stick shaped foam around helmet. Guess it's less time consuming. I'll have a try ;)
