i can definetly say that that method will work, but your mold wil deteriorate much faster than using silicone made for moulding.
a normal mold would last you around 60 copies
this wil maybe make 5 before major tears and cracks will show up.

but hey, you can always make a new one.

also, try and make a hard shell around your silicone mould with resin and fiberglass, this will keep your mold in place when you make casts, so no warping or dents occur. there should be enough tutorials on the great internets.

(source: own experience and we own a shop that makes moulds on a daily basis )

yeah im sure it will not last very long i was only testing these methods so that folks who wanted to make a cast of the original part could do so, maybe you can post some links to how molds are made for those using this method and have never done this before i dont want to give them a link that would confuse them. but i most of the time use smooth on when i do molds it does last a lot longer. and i have not tested my method as far as how many molds you can get out of them so this gives me an idea of a temp use.

Ok guys and gals i need to know if the should part is to big or does it look like it is the right size granted it is only taped to the bicep so its a little floppy but i wanted to get it in picture to get you guys thoughts to big or just right. be honest i would rather reprint it if to big then have the wrong size on my armor.... and the one picture is goofy it might show up on its side when you click on it and i dont know why.....

the neck seal came with the suit i bought the file on do3d.com 149.00 but the files are really hard to print because it does not show that they are already cut up and when you slice them to fit your bed you get really small parts with gaps in them. but i have different one if you need a pattern i can email you a pattern or if you want one done in latex i will make you one. other than that i am hoping to get this thing done before holloween. and thanks for the compliment

ok i got hold of the hexcon style fabric man it is hard to get but i bought what joann fabric had in stock. i was thinking the pattern was just died in the fabric but it is not you can feel everyone of them and it is a little stretch to it but not like spandex is. here are some pics of the matrerial....

ok guys and gals i have been trying to figure out how to make my visor look like the in game does, you know how we see through the visor playing i think i figured out a way to do it. i made a video on this no go easy on me i did this very fast to get this video i had a old visor off a helmet and just hand painted the design in the visor. it does not block your view or distort it it will come out better with one that has been tinted aready. but check out the video and let me know what you think...

ok everyone i have started a new type of neck seal when im done it should look like the one you see buck has in halo 5 but this is just the duct tape model no detail if you want me to do a how to thing for it let me know and i will put it in the tuts part of the forum. with out further a do here are some pics...

Ok a little update on the armor I still have to sho some little sanding in some spots but I only have three shins and feet to do then I will be about 60 percent done still have a lot of sanding ahead. But I put mt first coat of resin on today on a lot of the parts. He is a few pics

I had a horrible day today,I went ro bed to get ready for work and was printing the other half of the pants for my suit and it ran our of filiment the cr10 I have does not have the filiment sensor on it. I guess I will need to get one after this. But all I have left to print is the boots and then finish sanding. I will put pictures up as I get the parts done.

The photo with moss green looks more accurate to his armor

I'd lean towards the Moss green over a black basecoat. Once you are weathering I'd make sure to do a solid black wash and a brown wash too

I completely overlooked the Satin on the can
