Yes it has a spring. I just need to make more bullits to go in the mag.

My shop is 21.9' x 22' and I still need room....
I have been restoring a very old Craftsman 12" Radial Arm saw.. (My latest toy I pick up for $25.00) Which has been a real challenge because the cast iron shaft was rusted up. Not to mention getting parts from Sears..
Anyway very impressive work and I respect your skills, its a shame that woodworking is a dieing trade.. It seems that more and more High Schools are phasing out there programs and relying on 2 year collages to pick up the slack.

I have been restoring a very old Craftsman 12" Radial Arm saw.. (My latest toy I pick up for $25.00) Which has been a real challenge because the cast iron shaft was rusted up. Not to mention getting parts from Sears..

I agree, I learned some of my woodworking in the military (construction masonary specialist) but we had shop in Jr. high and its gone from there.
You can see my old Craftsman Radial Arm saw in the picture.

Are you also going to put on parts for tactical slings because they could make things easier for people to put on their own slings and a place to sling their rifles on without having to always carry them in thier hands.

Yea I saw your saw there yours is far newer than mine. When I did the research mine was 1973 to 76 design if I remember correctly. I could not justify buying a new one from Sears after working on my friends saw he recently purchased. The pinon gear was plastic and the arm column was aluminum. Very cheep design considering what the charge for it.
I want to start on an AR but this armor is very time consuming, did you draft up any plans in addition to the base print your using.
Or are you doing what I do prototype production... lol
Also about wood shop in schools... I think every child should experience woods, metals, drafting, printing classes in school. I think the only trade classes in our high School is Drafting, Electrical, Autoshop.

Very nice work on the clip and shell I was wondering what your plans are on the reciever mechanics as in how far you are going to go with the ejector, bolt and such (Sending you a PM).
I dearly miss my old highschool woodshop and teacher he was our version of Norm Abram lol he could do things with wood that would leave you scratching your head thinking how the heck did he do that, he also taught drafting and electrical engineering. Now with my sons in school I have yet to see one of their teachers with half the knowledge of the mechanical trades.

I didn't know it had a sling. If you give me some pics of what it looks like I will look into incorperating it into my design.

Yea, I think I bought my saw new in 86. At the time it was state of art, now I wish I had bought the old base version. The digital measuring system doesn't work and you can't get the battery for it any more.
The armor looks very time consuming. I can't even open a pdo file, so I haven't looked into making any armor. No I haven't made any drawings yet. I was talking to a friend of mine and he said I should make the internal blueprints. I will, but it will be down the road. Yes this is the prototype I will base my next BR55 off of, just like M6G is on the 3rd version.
I agree they need to bring back general trades so kids can do the little things around thier houses when they grow up.
Right now the bolt works just as an action. You can't see the actual bolt. On the Wizardofflight plans it doesn't show an ejection port.
I agree they don't have the quality of talent in the teachers today that they had when we were in school!

If you need light and sound effects try Replicant FX.com they have one for the Assaut Rifle it might work for th Battle Rifle.

I don't know, the Assault Rifle sounds alot different than the BR, and the ammo count is different.

According to them you can change the number and I think the sound you will have to check with them for a definate answer.

I have allready talked to them. You can modify there system for the BR and they will assist you in what needs to be changed. I have ordered a system from Okazmods. I'll let you know how it works when I get it.

Sounds great I hole it sounds just like it's supost to be when you are finished and I almost forgot are you thinking on putting in a selecter switch from single shot to 3 shot burst. I'm only asking because in a halo 2 video that came with my halo sound track the battle rifle was in single shot, besides it might work with the sound fx's for hearing 1 shot then switching to 3 shot burst if it's possibe to even put in and work.
