My Project MJOLNIR: Mk. VII armor + rubber undersuit

That rubber undersuit looks absolutely amazing and is probably the best undersuit I've ever seen.
The weathering on the armor is also extremely well done.

Keep up the good work.

That’s very nice thank you! For my first “big” costume I’m pretty pleased with it. The painting was my favorite part and I even intend to dirty it up some more.

For the rubber undersuit, it was honestly pretty straightforward to make the parts: print the moulds, pour equal parts of each part of the Dragon skin, add some black acrylic ink, mix, and cast. I did ask many questions to others on Instagram before making my attempt at these parts though, and I learned a lot- happy to answer questions about this process. I started with the neck mold, cast a part— it was too short for my long neck and didn’t mesh with the helmet well (prolly cuz I’m 6’2” and skinny lol). So I reprinted that mold at a bit of a longer height along the Z axis, and it was perfect on my second cast!

As for wearing the rubber parts, that has been slightly more challenging. Basically each rubber piece is going to need some parachute webbing fused / embedded into it, so that you can clip in to the armor. (The only piece that didn’t need this was the elbows, they lock in nicely once you wiggle them on). Some of the rubber molds have intentional areas for you to thread webbing through a loop, but you still need to fuse them to the part first. I’m still learning as I go on these, and tackling the floating knee area is gonna take some fennangling as I try to get into the thigh/knee rubber combo.
Looks fantastic , i have the Creative Instinct undersuit files , how do you make the negative from these so you can cast the Dragon Skin?

Nearly there folks!
Finished a big step today. The trickiest portion of the armor to make cohesive was definitely the area from the thighs / rubber knee area / knee armor / shin armor / boots. This is because the knee armor is detached from all other armor, and essentially floats above the rubber knee piece. My thigh armor hangs from my chest armor, with strapping running through the large rubber torso piece. With the thigh armor in place, I fused the rubber knee part to the upper thigh armor using with a combo of webbing and cloth. With the knee rubber and thigh armor as one piece, I was then able to cut slits into the rubber knee piece to thread some webbing from the knee armor into the part. The hard knee armor then has 4 points of webbing coming out of its backside, allowing me to fuse the armor part to the sleeve/tube of the knee rubber piece and securing it to “float” on top by fusing to it.
