That’s very nice thank you! For my first “big” costume I’m pretty pleased with it. The painting was my favorite part and I even intend to dirty it up some more. That rubber undersuit looks absolutely amazing and is probably the best undersuit I've ever seen.
The weathering on the armor is also extremely well done.
Keep up the good work.
MY LMG! never knew you posted it here!I also *think* I’ve landed on my loadout. LMG by Blazingforge on Instagram. Knife from galactic armory. Magnum found on Thingiverse. I got some 60lb weights and screw them to my thigh armor, they hold my magnum exceptionally well.
Haha yep, should have tagged you my b!MY LMG! never knew you posted it here!
Looks fantastic , i have the Creative Instinct undersuit files , how do you make the negative from these so you can cast the Dragon Skin? For the rubber undersuit, it was honestly pretty straightforward to make the parts: print the moulds, pour equal parts of each part of the Dragon skin, add some black acrylic ink, mix, and cast. I did ask many questions to others on Instagram before making my attempt at these parts though, and I learned a lot- happy to answer questions about this process. I started with the neck mold, cast a part— it was too short for my long neck and didn’t mesh with the helmet well (prolly cuz I’m 6’2” and skinny lol). So I reprinted that mold at a bit of a longer height along the Z axis, and it was perfect on my second cast!
As for wearing the rubber parts, that has been slightly more challenging. Basically each rubber piece is going to need some parachute webbing fused / embedded into it, so that you can clip in to the armor. (The only piece that didn’t need this was the elbows, they lock in nicely once you wiggle them on). Some of the rubber molds have intentional areas for you to thread webbing through a loop, but you still need to fuse them to the part first. I’m still learning as I go on these, and tackling the floating knee area is gonna take some fennangling as I try to get into the thigh/knee rubber combo.
Hi, I think I answered your question on Instagram but let me know if you have more questions!Looks fantastic , i have the Creative Instinct undersuit files , how do you make the negative from these so you can cast the Dragon Skin?
Sorry, just reading back over this thread and realized I was mistaken here! The molds come from InstinctCreative and my armor comes from Titlewave designs. Both on EtsyThanks! Do you mean molds? Titlewave designs on Etsy.
Yea , thanks i ordered the undersuit files , not the undersuit molds so now have purchased these and makes heaps more sense.Hi, I think I answered your question on Instagram but let me know if you have more questions!
Thank you!Wow this looks so detailed nice job.
outside in summer heat, it could get pretty hot after an hour or so. But you could definitely wear the suit for 3+ hours indoors or in a cooler environment. I don't have any fans in my suit and I didn't need them for a 1 hour photoshoot in 85 degree weatherHow hot is it in full suit?
thank you! This looks awesome, the rubber under suit is vary interesting, but it looks really good!!!
Thanks, I appreciate it! Basically the chest consists of two different molds, a front and back. Once both halves had cured, I brought the molds together, and then I laid more rubber down each scene, letting each cure in turnI would be really interested in following a step-by-step of how you did that undersuit. I feel less intimidated by a rubber undersuit than I do sewing together a foam and fabric deal. How did you attach the front and back pieces? I can barely see the seem. This is incredible work.
