Anything low-def and small. Hand pieces work well.

the frags... 3 pieces of paper and 10 min of time to make...

do the mark five from halo 1 low detail pieces and easy to make and gives you a good idea of the work for some of the more high def pieces in the future (helps you learn how to scale too, im glad first piece i made was halo 1 forearm and realized holy **** this is much to big!)

Also there is a sticky under the tuts for robogenesis pieces oh how to scale his particular armor. Then you can apply the height from his pieces to other pieces of the same kind to get the right fit.
