Need some advice/help with my concept

Hey, I'm looking to start doing pepakura with something fairly easy but not overly simple.
I drew this a while ago for my own amusement and I figured it might just make a simple enough Pepakura.

I'll post the rest of the armour (yes Australian spelling) later, Its includes mostly just flat srufaces and a lot of square edges. So what I'm looking for is just some advice and guidance as to how to go about this stuff.
My last question is just how do I get this into pepakura designer?

You need to make a 3D-model if it first. The model is what you import into Pepakura Designer.

Get a 3d modeling program like Blender and start teaching yourself using tutorials online.

If this stuff was easy to pick up on quickly then everyone would be doing it, and there wouldn't be such a high demand for 3d models.

Thanks, I don't expect to pick this up easy, I expect this helmet alone to take upwards of a year.
