Too bad it's only concept art, and what is Jorge holding? A Gauss rifle?

either an automatic miniature prototype, a single barreled heavy .50 cal, man-Portable Anti-Tan cannon.

( similar to killzone's Helghast- Anti-tank/man-portable cannon )

ps: does anybody knows wy that one spartan is aiming at the ground?

I just have to ask if you were SERIOUS when you asked that?

I mean, isn't this the signature spartan pose that's been burned into our skulls since Halo 3?

Yup, yup.

I think the first picture is fake. Notice how the spartans all stand out in the environment, like their armor edges "shine" in the slight darkness? They were photoshopped out of the fourth picture, as they have the exact same poses, but Jorge has been flipped in the other direction.

The gun the EVA has looks cool, too.

The picture is not fake, it's a background for the IGN:s website. The middle "brighter" area is supposed to contain the website "content" and what appears on the "darker areas" are the sides of the website. Check http://405th.com mainsite to see what i mean as an example.

I think it has just been "cheaper" to add the same pictures to the other artwork.

Okay, I see your point. I guess I just meant it's not an official picture, that's all. Does anyone know what kind of helmet the sniper has (Not the ghillie part but the helmet itself.)?

- Reach will NOT follow the book, Fall of Reach.

- We play as Spartan IIIs. Jorge is the only Spartan II on the team, and as a result is larger.

- Carter 259 and Kat 320 are the only members of their original squad.

- Jorge is a heavy weapons specialist.

- "Skully" now has a name, Emile 239. He's the silent type of the game.

- The sniper is called Jun 266. He's thoughtful and taciturn.

- We can customise the appearance of the Lone Wolf by a small degree. Awesome.

- The game is apparently darker than any of the other Halo games, even more so than ODST.

- Human Insurrectionists are possibly in the game

- Bungie have once again made the Covenant more dangerous and frightening, as they were in Halo 1.

- Covenant soldiers no longer speak English, they speak in their own languages.

- A new enemy like a Jackal has been introduced, named a "Skirmisher." They are deadly and cunning enemies that attack in packs, and flank secure positions.

- Graphics have been improved drastically, as proven by in-magazine comparisons.

- Elites are back, and are more ferocious than ever.

- Larger scale combat will be in Reach. Where only 20 AI at a time could be on screen in Halo 3, now over 40 AI and 20 vehicles can be present at a time.

- Scenes are more cinematic.

- Noble Team splits up at a point in the story, but it seems they soon get back together.

- Health Bar is back along with energy shield.

- Single shot rifle like the Halo 2 E3 demo is in the game, named the Designated Marksman Rifle (DRM)

- Sniper, AR and Magnum make a return. Gun sounds are more realistic.

- Needler Rifle is in the game, a mid-range headshot capable weapon.

- Spike Grenades and Flame Grenades are out. Only frags and plasma remain.

- Helicopter Transport is called the Falcon.

- Civillian vehicles are now drivable.

- Fully stealthy gameplay is now possible.

- Assassinations are possible with a knife by holding down the melee button.

- Sprinting is now possible through an equipment like mechanic.

- Spirits, the Covenant drop ship in CE, return in Reach, alongside Phantoms.

- Grunts look a lot more menacing.

- Motion Tracker seems compressed, like an oval rather than the Halo 3 circle.

- Hud is yellow rather than blue.

- Marines look vaguely like Halo 1 marines.

- Phantoms now have a flashlight, like the one seen in the ODST announcement trailer.

- Elites seem taller, and are no longer hunched.

- All features from Halo 3 (Forge, Theatre, Co-op) make a comeback along with several new ones.

- We will be shown what Reach looks like before it is destroyed. We will see the levels of destruction progress as we get further through the game, implying the game takes place over a longish period of time.

Taken from B.Net. A guy who read the mag.

I totally cant wait to play this game. I would probably kill for that. The new feature are so awesome.

You guys know what this means? It means the leaked screens were REAL.

Also, it means the descriptions that came with them are real too.

Which means... There may be indigenous creatures from Reach out to kill both you AND the covenant..

Here are some scans of Halo reach from the Feb 2010 issue of Game informer. It has some pretty good pics of the new weapons.

Some info:

Apparently, the jackel has a cousin called a skirmisher(shown in one of the pics). And we now have, instead of the normal needler, we have a needler rifle. The covenant don't speak english either (no more funny grunt jokes/screams). The spartans that were shown in the Reach trailer are apparently, Spartan-IIIs. Which are basically spartans who are deemed expendible (someone told me this so i'm not too sure) but the spartan-IIIs are the worst bunch of the spartans. They still pro but just not at the same level as master chief(spartan-I) or Spartan-IIs.

*update*:

-AI has been doubled (h3 had 20 enemies on screen, Reach can now have up to 40 AI on screen and possibly 20 vehicles)

-civilian vehicles are now drivable

-there is stealth gameplay (assassinations with a combat knife and such)

-more realistic sounding weapons

-there also will be a Sprint button

-the only grenades that will be in the game are plasmas and frags

-the health bar looks like the one in halo:CE (shield at the bottom and actual health at the bottom.. Yes med packs will be in the game)

-there will be more exploration on the world as well just like halo:CE

-we will see the beginning and the END of Reach in the game.

FYI, Master Chief is a Spartan II. And not all of Noble Team are Spartan III's. Jorge is the only SII in the squad.

And there are no equipment, but upgrades you can equip: Sprint and Active camouflage, but you can only equip one of them, and they are rechargeable!
