This is a build I am doing as a school project, so I am using a laser to cut and score the card-stock so this should go pretty quick at first. I am new here but I have make a scratch built recon helmet, and Warhammer 40K Space Marine helmet from paper board and sheet rock joint compound, I'll post some pics of those to show what I've done In the past. As this is the first time I have done any thing with resin, fiberglass, etc. any tips would be appreciated.

Okay here are some pics of my past work along with the start of the noble 6

@thomasthebear I'm using a 50 watt CO2 Universal laser, it can cut most anything except metal,I'll be using it to cut some of the things I'll add to the Helmet out of plexiglass.
I think I saw someone else was using a laser to cut pep stuff but I forgot who.

where did you get you noble six pep files? i have been looking all day and i cant find a good one...i like the way yours turned out though.

The pep is by Rundown, not sure who unfolded it cause there are two unfolds of this helmet and one is much easier to assemble, but heres a link two the file I used http://www.4shared.com/get/298962211/b96d6480/Reach_Noble-Six_Helmet_by_Rund.html
I also had a hard time finding a good Noble Six, I ended up going with Rundowns, and heavily modifying it as it wasn't very game accurate due to the fact Rundown had to model it off not so great ref pics, so don't get me wrong Rundown did a great job with the ref pics out there at the time, I believe he modeled it before the beta was even out:)

Got it Rondoed and started to detail it

Here is some of the modification I'm doing to make the visor area more game accurate.

And here is some of the modification I'm doing to make the brim more game accurate.

I got some more work done on the helmet so heres two pics.

I coated the entire outside with a rondo mix of 2 parts resin 1 part bondo so as to make it easier to put on details and to have the whole outside surfaces be rondo.

sorry about not updating but I've been having to work alot and my classes have been taking up most of the remaining time, but I should be able to continue the helmet next week.

Did you remove the front vent pieces altogether? I'm having tons of trouble with that little tiny irritating piece and I need a fix for it.

Ok I'm back sorry about not getting any progress but I've been REALLY busy, I should have some progress pics up later today.

Ok so I had some camera trouble so I couldnt get the pics up as soon as I had wanted but here they are.

Much of the work now is smoothing to get a good finish.

I have also been working on making a good seat for the visor.

Some of the panel lines.

Also I made the insets where the little indents go, I'm going to make these by filling them with Bondo and setting plastic pieces in to get a good shape.

And finally the seat for the thingy attached to the brim.

Ok I got some more work done on the helmet.

heres the side insets

And heres some of the detailing.

I ran into some air bubbles on the other side so I'll have to do some more bondo work.
