First of all, hello to all. I've been working on this helmet for a couple of weeks now, and think I'm going relatively well. I've deviated from the tutorials on here a little, but as I work in a Panel repair shop, body filler is my friend.

Here's some pics, let me know what you think:

I will be updating this thread just in case anyone is interested to see how it turns out

Edit: oh, and sorry about the crappy pictures... I need to buy a camera.

Welcome to the 405th!

And I must say that is some fantastic body work you have done to that helmet. It's so smooth, I can only hope my helmet will turn out that way after I fiberglass and bondo/sand it. I look forward to your progress!

thats looking mighty fine!

nice fillnig and sanding... I suppose you have access to nice sanding tools?

btw - where are you from mate? It looks very nice and tropical in the background!

cant wait to see more. Oh yes - and welcome to the 405th!

Thanks guys, really looking forward to getting some more work done on it over the next few weeks.

And Heatshock, I have access to a 6" and 8" orbital sander and belt sander via friends (too poor to buy my own :p), but thus far I've only been using a standard 1/4 sheet block. I'm currntly located in Brisbane, Australia, hence the palms in the back yard, lol.
