ODST armor strapping?

Hello everyone!

I am a relatively new prop maker but have been really enjoying it. I am working on a set of ODST armor for my brother, its all painted and set up besides one thing.

I have no idea how I should make it wear able, I am working hard on figuring out where to attach straps, how to make it comfortable and movable. I am using the Galactic Armory files but I am not finding a lot for how to attach the entire armor together.

So far my idea for attaching is to put the chest/back parts onto a simple plate carrier. Run a strap from the top of the shoulder to the plate carrier for work from there. Using a belt for all the cod/hip/butt plates. For the forearms and the elbow/bicep I am thinking just using plain velcro for it. The legs I am not sure on how to handle for it, not sure how I want to do the thigh pieces and the legs/knees.

Helmet attached to just show it a bit.

Here's my ODST build thread:

My strongest suggestion is to READ, READ, READ. There is no reason to feel you have to invent how to do this; not when there are probably 200 build threads here. Think of every hour you spend reading as 15 hours you DON'T spend experimenting and re-inventing the wheel.

Your initial thoughts are pretty sound and along the lines of what most ODST have done - and follow what I did pretty closely.
As for your doubts on the thighs... I did straps up to the belt. You don't see them with the hip plates.
