Hello there! This will be my first thread so i am still figuring out the forum format.

I made most of my ODST back in 2018-19, Using AndrewDFT's toutorials. So it is long overdue for some upgrades/ updates.

I upgraded the helmet this February and now that i found the motivation to work on the suit again i want to make it better/ make a better one.

My plan is to 3d print the arms and part of the chestplate armor. While remaking the base of the chest in foam to keep some flexibility.

The legs are still up for debate though since i still want to be able to move in it.

The attaching of new weapons kinda elude me since im not used to 3d printed props, but im open to any ideas on the matter.

Anyways stay tuned for more updates soon!! :)

I can help with attaching 3d printed weapons. It is pretty easy to integrate it to your current system. We just need to make sure your gear is rigged well and the magnets can take the weight.

That would be a great help!
Im used to the flexibility of foam so rigid plastic weapons are a bit out of my area of expertise.

Plastic I think is nicer. I like the rigidness it provides and I think it is easier for posing and just feels better in the hands. I’ll help you add slots for magnets.

I also have knees that may fit you if you’re interested. I decided against doing a full ODST so it is collecting dust.

That would save me a lot of time with the legs. Im definitly interested i just need to know what files you used so that i can scale the shins since im thinking of making them in foam.

Yeah, we can line them up. I’ll find them this week.
Any help that has to do with 3d printed stuff and magnets would really be apreciated. :)
It isn’t that bad. We can do it in the slicer or in blender. As long as we get the right magnets. I’ve been ordering a lot and doing research in Europe on what works best. I need to do more and should maybe do a thread on it
