Again welcome to the 405th!

Yep nothing wrong with being new and asking questions. BUT, help yourself first, read the stickies, read the stuff like "New Members sticky index and such. Journey forth and learn...

Thanks guys for all the ideas, but im not sure about doing a white primary, im hestiant about it being to much of a "Hey look over here! Shot at me!" so i might tone it down to a silver, unfortunitly i didnt know about the red helmet stripe being for odst leaders...i need to do more ODST related research before i finish my project. COuld anyone direct me to someplace where i could gain such info?

I don't know how I missed this thread, but here's a decent shot of a medkit from the Halo universe.

It looks like it would be pretty easy to scratchbuild. Maybe alter Sean's ODST backpack to incorporate the medkit, or maybe just slap it on the lower portion of the pack.

Im talkin about just the chestpiece. Have you played H3 ODST in a while. Changin primary only changes the chestpiece, and detail only changes the helmet and the shoulders. The rest is black, because it has to be. Also, hey look at me, is always good at conventions.

Another idea is that you put a patch with the medical emblem similar to the medref patch on the ODST shoulders. Also paint a third of the of your chest plate light gray with the red cross emblem on it. Can't wait to see this done, theres not many medic builds out there good luck.

I think its the white chest plate that people don't get. The light to medium grey is that people can tell your a medic but its not like a big target on your chest

Not to be picky, but technically ODST's don't have medics. Because they're Marines they have corpsmen. Not a huge difference, but definitely one that an actual corpsman would point out. As for light/heavy/normal armor for a corpsman, I would think that it would just be normal. In a squad, every member has his or her own specific job. In H3: ODST we see this with Mickey being the demo expert, Romeo being the designated marksman, etc. And while they have slightly different armor permutations because of this, the basic ODST armor package is still there. So, I would imagine an ODST corpsman having the basic armor but with a slightly modified rucksack and maybe a medical pouch on a leg-drop platform. As for markings, I'd go with a red cross on the shoulder that doesn't have the "UNSC MED REF" tag and the surgeon symbol on the chest. Just my personal opinion.

As for color, I think that's totally up to the operator. I'm not sure where the "leaders wear red" came from seeing as in H3, H3: ODST, and Reach anyone can wear red regardless of rank. Also, Buck doesn't use red as his color and Mickey does. So, if you want your coloring to be red, go for it.

Yeah, they still serve a basic ODST combat role, they're just also a medic. I think Romeo might be some kind of corpsman, if those things on his shins are Biofoam canisters.

No, i mean, look at all those things on the side of his shins, are those biofoam canisters?, also theres at least 4 of them.

I think those are mini flares or something to that nature. I don't think that the squad actually had a designated medic since they had a different mission where a smaller squad would be more to an advantage.
