this is a total necro but i have a nice ship coming i just don't know how to take pictures from google sketchup, and it is not a direct coppy from any UNSC ship

When it comes to names for a ship I always think of the Vally Forge. As for a ship design i'm thinking of a cross between demon 2005's ship design and the In Amber Clad ship class design if possible but when it comes to a name I think it would be the Vally Forge.

Mabye i'm a little late for it, but...
I think i might have some names!
UNSC Imperium nos Terranium(if i got that right, i dont take latin, but it sounded cool!)
It means the Right to Rule all Terrain, which the Covenant would gladly claim that they have,we shall prove them wrong!

Also, mabye we shipmasters(?) should have eachother's gamertags so that we can get together and make a really cool ship on foundry! heck, we could make a fleet, helping eachother with our ships!
like say, i want to be an ODST dropper, we all get together and make a ship on foundry with the name on the side, deployable pods(im thinking we put teleporters in the walls and matches in the air so that when you step into your "pod", you fall from the sky and crash land into a UNSC-Covenant battle!(mabye on stand off)
Then, say comanderfluffy wants an ONI Stealth Frigate, we will make his matching the sky on blackout or something!
We can have our ship's names on our sig or something!

good idea with the forgeing thing! wow i havent been on in a while to read anythin.. computer crashed...

anyways... maybe a mod cold lock this topic soon. id like to start a new one discussing names and design.. names wont be accepted of coruse just voted for... also i like jedi's idea on a custom ship... so far ive only seen 3 ships in the entire halo series.. frigate, pillar of autum and that spirit one from halo wars... thats 3 variants... we need an actual design specific for spartans not deep space combat like those ones.

yeah, good idea! I'll look into the classes of ships maybe tomorrow. I've seen the ONI prowlers, the frigates, the smaller cargo ships, and whatever Autumn is, lol!

For Google sketchup you could always open up your file and use "Print Screen"
