apparently the cooler had nothing to do with the failure. nor did the system's temperature, it is always running cool.

i got this so i could play on my pc monitor

apparently many people have been having this problem, regardless of whatever they had attached to their system. whenever i plug it into any tv, there is just a series of white dots moving across the screen, a symptom other people reported on a website my friend looked up (i'll try to see if i can find anything more about it) i got it from circuit city and i'm going to see if i can get a replacement or something there as soon as my dad finds the damn receipt. one guy on the previously mentioned website got his from best buy and they gave him a gift card for $400 when he returned it because that's how much he paid when he first got it. and since the prices have gone down, he just had to pay another 50 bucks for an elite. hopefully i can be as lucky
