So I read up on google and searched youtube. If you look at the xbox vertically, the left two quadrants are blinking red. This means that the system is overheated? We tried to wait a whole day and the thing still blinks. You guys care to share your stories and fixes? Im tempted to bake the thing in towels...or shoot it with my glock.

If its overheated then i would recommend taking it apart and applying new thermal paste. If its still under warranty, just send it in for repair.

If your under warranty, send it in. No fix you do at home will be permanent, and if you work on it, and can't fix it, you've voided your warranty.

just get a few cold, damp towels and wrap it up... that fixed my friends Rrod

NO! Never do this.

The penny fix is a crapshoot at best. If it's under warranty, just send er in.

the penny trick is proven to work :)
and you can still send it off for repairs if you open it, just to many people don't know how to remove the sticker properly and then put it back on
